THE SHORT VERSION
I grew up here, in Jersey. Went to college for biology in Florida, where I met a man who is the exact opposite of what I thought I wanted in a husband yet turned out to be everything I could ever need or want... so I married him. We have two little boys who are the entirety of our world and bring us both endless joy and just a little chaos. I come from an extremely tight-knit family who do everything together... like, everything. In fact, they are basically my whole story.
I work at my family’s company, a wholesale greenhouse, in the accounting department and also get to do some work with the marketing team as a photographer. This is the joy of my time at work but I don’t always get to fully express myself or dedicate the necessary time to it because bills getting paid somehow takes priority, who knew? ;) In the work arena, photography is my outlet and the highlight of every week. It gives me a chance to express myself artistically, get out of the office and away from all the paperwork stress, and be out with the plants.
Over the years, I have done many shoots for family members and friends as a favor, and was recently encouraged by several family members and friends to start my own business. I am so thankful that I was finally able to make that dream a reality.
Photography brings me the utmost fulfillment. It grounds me in the moment, gives me confidence in my abilities, allows me to see the most beautiful moments of humanity, clears my head of stress, and opens my heart to the full goodness of life. It is the one thing in my life that offers me stability and expression yet is completely flexible to the more demanding aspects of my life. Whether I am just taking photos of my beautiful kids, out capturing a magnificent sunset or landscape, or editing shots of someone else’s wonderful life.... I love capturing moments in time! Every time I sit down to edit, I notice that I am smiling from ear to ear and sometimes even tearing up at the joy reflected in the images on my screen. I love that feeling and I live to share, with as many people as possible, the joy I feel from having been a part of their life, even if just for a moment. <3
